Suraya Casey’s business Copy and Content New Zealand works with public and private sector organisations in New Zealand and overseas.

Suraya began her writing and editing career in 2000 while working for the Department of Corrections, when she attended an eye-opening plain language workshop. After working in the UK’s public sector from 2004, in 2009 she started a print magazine that gained a strong following in many countries.

While working for leading UK disability charity Scope, Suraya developed expertise in content accessibility and GOV.UK content design principles. For several years, she helped Essex County Council improve their web content design and accessibility. She was Senior Content Strategist at Saatchi-owned ad agency, MSL Group, before returning to New Zealand in 2017.
