Judge: Best Plain Language Technical Communicator

Laura began her technical writing career in 2008, studying part-time through Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology’s online Graduate Diploma in Information Design programme. She holds an MA in English from The University of Auckland and an MA in Creative Writing from Victoria University of Wellington.

At Xero for over 10 years, Laura was proud to be part of the team that won the award for Best Plain English Website — Private Sector in 2018 for the Xero Central website.

In 2014, she was a finalist in the Best Plain English Technical Communicator category. She is currently Senior Technical Writer at Volpara Health.
